I feel this. Someone recently said to me, "Try to keep perspective," about a really emotional time for me. And it got me thinking in similar ways to you: emotions aren't bad, they are truth-tellers a lot of the time. But we're taught to hate them. Thanks for sharing!
So true! Emotions are similarly looked at negatively, but they’re so useful when we allow them to do their work. Love that - emotions are truth-tellers. Thanks for your thoughts!
This spoke to me. When someone tells me to stop overthinking something, I've learned that they aren't the person to process with. Sometimes, it's my cue to turn inward and find my own answers. I've learned to discern when I'm truly overthinking or simply need more time to process and clarify the next actions. I often go with a gut feeling, but sometimes I don't have that gut feeling yet and need more time!
Yes! I love this! The cue to turn inward and that they are not the person to process with. Such an important thing to recognize. Thanks for sharing! I’m learning to use the “overthinking” tool when it is called for and to leave it in the tool belt when it’s not time for it. It’s a process.
I feel you! Yes to thorough-thinking...I feel like our world needs more of it!
Does it ever! 😆 thorough-thinkers unite!
